Well to start things off, I'll just say that my favorite thing to do is take pretty napkins and make things out of them. Some call it decoupage, some call it nerdy for a fifteen year old teenager to be crafting in her spare time, I call it absolutely fantastic. This is by far my favorite thing to do.
Have any of you ever heard of the designer Cath Kidston? Not many have, me having been one of them. I learned about her from our family friend whose house is beautifully decorated in her creations....She's a London-based purse and fabric GENIUS who is recognized most widely for her "nostalgic, old-English style floral patterns." She is my life, I have her beautiful roses, daisies, pansies, and rosebuds on every surface and in every drawer. The trouble is, her products are hard to come by here in the United States, seeing as she is based in England. However, I have been fortunate enough to stumble across her paper napkins a handful of times; this usually makes my entire month! I take tremendous pride and joy in adhering these lovely little napkins to boxes, hairclips, drawers, frames, lightswitch plates, old teacups, anything!
For now, I've posted some of her napkins and patterns, but soon I'll post some of the things I've made with her napkins!
Feel free to comment (can you even do that on here? Hm...) on anything, also, let me know if you've seen any of her products in the US!
I'll post sometime this coming week with some things I've made. That's it for now!
Maddie
